Colm - Landscape Designer, Architect and Urban Designer
Based in Dublin, Colm graduated from the School of Architecture, Bolton Street, Dublin in 1995 and later continued his studies in Urban Design. He has worked in various areas of design and project management over the past 23 years both in Ireland and internationally. The design process involving detailed planning is a key element and the continuity of Architecture, hard landscaping and planting is key to any of his designs.
Before setting up Doyle Landscapes, Colm worked in senior management roles in successful corporate and international companies and now uses this experience to run a successful and busy garden landscaping business. Colm is a full member of the Garden & Landscape Designers Association of Ireland (GLDA) and has in the past been an active member of the GLDA Council assisting with the promotion of the design profession nationally.
Colm runs the day to day garden/landscape design and project management part of Doyle Landscapes. Achievements include Silver Medal 2008, Gold Medal 2009 and Gold Medal 2010 at the Bloom Garden Show in the Phoenix Park. Many of Colm’s projects include both commercial and private gardens including gardens built in both the UK and France where a keen eye for quality and detail has been essential.
Colm uses his knowledge from projects locally and abroad to ensure a smooth process for the customer from initial design brief meeting through to the garden build process. This ensures that the customer enjoys the process rather than it being a chore or a worry.
Colm believes that the garden design process never ends as the gardens created are constantly changing, therefore a constant relationship with both his clients and past gardens completed are of high importance to him which is also where the garden care side of the business comes into play.
